How far along: 11 weeks
How big is baby: 1.6 inches, 0.25 ounces
Weight gain/loss: down 8 pounds. It’s crazy how fast you can lose weight when you cut out soda and feel like puking all th time.
Stretch marks: none yet
Sleep: pretty good right now, though I’ve been sleeping with a pillow between my knees for the last three weeks so that I don’t wake up with a sore back and hips.
Cravings/aversions: well, right now pretty much nothing sounds good food wise. Or it’s often that one very specific thing will be the only thing that sounds good. Sure wins so far have included Mexican and breakfast food.
Movement: T-Rex (the baby’s nickname) was moving and grooving quite a bit during last week’s ultrasound. But I can’t feel anything yet.
What I’m loving: the fact that we’ve gotten to have two ultrasounds so far. the first one at 8 weeks was the standard one at the doctor and then last week’s was at a local crisis pregnancy center. They had nurses that needed to get ultrasound certified so were taking models for free ultrasounds.
Symptoms: nausea, fatigue, sore boobs, lower abdominal pressure, frequent peeing.
What I’m looking forward to: getting to the point where I’m showing. Our 12 week ultrasound next week, and getting to see Benjamin watch the baby, his face just lights up, I love it!
Right now mainly trying not to rush things as I’ll never again get to be pregnant with this little one and it’s such an amazing gift.
